If the printer name does not display in the Printer List, go to the next step.Ħ. If the printer name displays in the Printer List, the setup is complete. Open Print & Fax (under System Preferences), or Print Center / Printer Setup Utility under Applications/Utilities (depending on your version of Mac OS X) and see if the printer name appears in the Printer List.ĥ. Follow the instruction provided in the installerĤ. Printer and computer should be connected with USB cableģ. Once the download is complete the installer dialog will appear on screen.Ģ.
Click the "Download" button to begin the download of the Mac OSX Full Solution installer.
Once you have selected the driver to "Use", you are brought back to the Add screen to complete the "Add" of the printer.If the printer is not listed, you will need to go to the manufacturer's website and download the drivers. In this example we are filtering for "Toshiba" and choosing the "Toshiba e-ST4511/451c Series P5" which happens to be the driver to e-Studio281c and 451c printers. You can filter your search by typing the type of printer you are looking for in the Filter field.
Click the drop down arrow next to the Use field.Note: You should NOT need an admin account to add a printer this way.
